Switch to o3-mini

Today, Client Support Software’s CRM has transitioned its default AI analysis model from GPT‑4o to o3‑mini. This change is intended to address operational efficiency by reducing both computational costs and processing latency.

Overview of the Update

The previous model, GPT‑4o, delivered strong performance but cost $2.50/million tokens. o3-mini is more capable and costs $1.10/million tokens. The new o3‑mini model is designed with improved reasoning capabilities while consuming less compute power, which helps reduce both response times and expenses. It is capable of processing 200,000 input tokens whereas GPT-4o was limited to 128,000 tokens.

Operational Efficiency and Cost Savings

The switch to o3‑mini results in lower token costs and a reduced processing overhead. These improvements help the system analyze tasks, generating detailed summaries, and extracting key insights from customer interactions more efficiently. By lowering operational costs, the update may also facilitate future enhancements in the platform without a significant rise in expenses.

Looking Ahead

This update reflects an ongoing effort to refine Client Support Software’s CRM’s technical performance. The focus remains on balancing performance with cost effectiveness as part of continuous improvements in the system. If you have any questions or notice any impact to current analytics, let us know!
