As we kicked off 2025, our team has been laser-focused on enhancing your Client Support Software experience. We’re thrilled to share the significant upgrades and new features rolled out during the first quarter (Q1 2025). These updates are designed to boost your productivity, strengthen security, provide deeper insights, and lay a solid foundation for future innovation.
Let’s dive into the highlights!
Major New Features You Can’t Miss
This quarter brought some game-changing additions to CMA:
- 🛡️ Enhanced Security with Automatic PII Masking: Protecting sensitive client data is paramount. We’ve implemented robust Personally Identifiable Information (PII) masking throughout the application. Sensitive data like SSNs and Dates of Birth are now automatically masked by default. Viewing this information requires explicit action and is logged, enhancing compliance and security.
- 🧠 Introducing the CMA AI SQL Builder: Need custom data insights but find SQL daunting? Our new AI SQL Builder, integrated directly within Document Templates, allows you to generate complex database queries using natural language prompts! Describe the data you need, and let AI assist in crafting the SQL, significantly speeding up custom report creation. (Initial release Jan/Feb, enhanced in March)
- 🔊 AI-Powered Call Log Transcription: Unlock valuable insights from your client interactions! CMA now supports automatic transcription of call recordings (under 25 minutes) using OpenAI’s efficient gpt-4o-mini-transcribe model. Quickly review call content, search for keywords, and improve quality assurance.
- 📚 Your New Central Hub: The Knowledge Base: We’ve launched a brand new, comprehensive Knowledge Base. This modern, easily searchable platform replaces the previous System Documentation. Find it linked in the main navigation!
- 📈 Real-Time Insights: New PBX Dashboard: Get a clearer view of your call operations with the new PBX Dashboard (accessible via the PBX Info page). Monitor key metrics and system status easily.
- 📄 Track Changes Easily: Document Template Revision History: Ever wondered who changed a template and when? Now you can! We’ve added Revision History for Document Templates, allowing you to see past versions, track modifications, and maintain better control over your standard documents.
- 💻 Simplified Troubleshooting: CMA File Log View: System administrators can now easily view CMA system log files directly within the interface, streamlining monitoring and troubleshooting.
Under the Hood: Performance & Stability Boosts 🛠️
While new features are exciting, maintaining a robust and modern platform is crucial. In Q1, we made significant foundational improvements:
- 🚀 Future-Ready with PHP 8.4: We’ve migrated the entire platform to PHP 8.4, the latest version. This brings substantial performance improvements, enhanced security features, and ensures CMA stays current with modern web standards.
- ⚙️ Core System Updates: We’ve updated key components including FreeBSD 14.2, Apache 2.4.63, and MySQL 8.0.41 for optimal stability and security.
- 🧩 Library Modernization: Numerous internal libraries (like Guzzle, Twilio SDK, Smarty, Google APIs, PHPOffice, Tabler UI components, and more) were updated to their latest versions, ensuring compatibility, security, and access to new capabilities.
- 🏗️ Codebase Refactoring: Significant work was done refactoring the codebase, including implementing namespaces. While invisible to end-users, this makes the code more organized, maintainable, and scalable for future development.
